"Touching the Serpent's Tail" is the twelfth Robert Fox solo album and represents the artist at his most creative, returning to the early days in mood and style days of his cosmic journey style albums like "Asfafa" and "Blue Mountains" and classic tracks like "White Man Dreaming".
From the gorgeous opening 'Earth', through the delicate poignancy of 'Another Time, another Place' and the majestic melody of 'Weaver of Chance', Robert weaves a magical spell that draws you into this ‘Serpent's Tale’. The album continues with drifting synth passages, moody melodies, gothic voices and rhythmic passages, all superbly realised and performed. Titles like 'Of a Time Gone By" and 'Above the Still Waters' superbly encapsulate the feel of the album - a moody, drifting epic, full of emotion with a beautiful main theme that reappears throughout, reinforcing the 'concept' feel to this striking release. "Touching the Serpent's Tail" manages to reprise his early style with a modern contemporary feel, and that is going to delight the faithful and surprise new listeners.
